Bestie!

My Number One Men!!

This past week has been one of the rougher one’s I’ve endured in quite a while. Things around me are changing and have changed when I don’t/didn’t want them to, or am not ready for it. I’ve kept all this frustration in and it shows on my face! Stupid acne! And it shows in the mood I bring to my house. I push myself away from my family when I’m mad or upset, I’d rather avoid confrontation than put something bad in the air. Unfortunately I wear my feeling like a big flashing sign and all who know me see that something is clearly the matter. The worst part is that I feel selfish for why I’m even angry. So how do you approach something like that without making yourself feel like ab ass? I know…YOU DON’T! You just leave it alone. Let it settle.It’ll pass!

What I didn’t realize was so crucial though, is that even if you choose to not confront your battles, you still need to get that frustration off your shoulders. You need someone to know what you feel. We’re human, we need to share and be shared with. We need those bonds in our lives, the glue that holds us together when we feel as though we’re falling apart.

My life is giant book of stories full of lots and lots and lots of chapters. Long and short ones. Unforgettable ones and done been forgotten ones. Some people leave behind little trinkets to be remembered by, some leave behind footprints and others don’t leave anything. Then there are those who leave scars; it’s a conscious effort to not forget the lessons we learn from those scars, it can be easy to make others pay for mistakes not their own. At the same time, there’s a balance that we need to work on; not making the present pay for the pasts’ mistakes, but being more careful when letting people in so deep. You’re worth the time and the effort it takes to get to know you. Be an open book, just read slowly. And really listen when you are read to, otherwise don’t waste your time in the company of whomever it is you’re making listen to you, when you do not intend on listening to them.

So anyway, my chapters, right now I am in a long one! A wonderful, mesmerizing, enlightening, humbling, fantastic and loving long chapter! A second family when your blood lives too far away! My best friend right now, who just so happens to be the girlfriend of one of my wonderful roommates, her name is Cortnie, but she’s my Leon. Yesterday, she sat me down and asked me for the 4th odd time what was up with me. How was my mood? How was I? Did I want to talk yet? And I finally broke down; tears and all, I’m a very emotional person. So man did I need venting!! It was such a weight off of me that didn’t need to be there. All I needed was her ears. I don’t want to make a big deal of my problems, but I needed someone to know that I was unhappy with some things. She didn’t give up on me, I feel like she never will. I’m very blessed for this chapter in my life and everyone in it, even if I wish things were a little different in some areas of my life. I think we all have that though?
